Ooredoo Announces Strategic 3-Year Partnership with New Balance for Doha Marathon


Ooredoo, Qatar’s leading telecommunications provider, has announced a new three-year strategic partnership with global sportswear giant, New Balance. As part of this significant collaboration, New Balance will become the official apparel and footwear partner for the Doha Marathon by Ooredoo, starting with the 2025 edition of the event, which is set to take place on January 17, 2025.



The partnership was formalized in a signing ceremony attended by Mr. Sabah Rabiah Al-Kuwari, Director of Public Relations, CSR, and Sponsorship at Ooredoo Qatar, and Mr. Stuart Henwood, Regional General Manager of New Balance for the Middle East, Africa, and India. Joining them were senior executives from New Balance, along with prominent figures from Qatar’s sports community, including representatives from Aspire, Al Sadd Club, and coaches from the New Balance Running Club in Doha.

The new partnership aims to elevate the experience for over 15,000 participants in next year’s marathon, an event that has become one of the region’s premier sporting occasions. New Balance, which has supported globally renowned marathons such as the London and New York City Marathons, will bring its international expertise and innovative products to the Doha Marathon by Ooredoo, enhancing its status as a key event on Qatar’s sporting calendar.

The Doha Marathon by Ooredoo will take participants along Doha’s iconic Corniche, offering a route that showcases the beauty of the city while promoting fitness and community spirit.
