Qatar Tourism and Visit Qatar marked their participation at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025 in Dubai, one of the world’s leading travel and tourism events in the region, by announcing two major developments on the opening day. Qatar Tourism, in partnership with Celestyal Cruises, announced the dual-ship deployment of the MS Celestyal Journey and the MS Celestyal Discovery for the Winter 2025 cruise season. The announcement was made in the presence of Eng. Abdulaziz Ali Al-Mawlawi, CEO of Visit Qatar,  Omar Al Jaber, Chief of Tourism Development Sector, Lee Haslett, CCO of Celestyal Cruises. As part of this partnership, the MS Celestyal Journey will operate its cruises across the Arabian Gulf with Doha serving as its main homeport, while the MS Celestyal Discovery will make regular calls at Doha Port as part of its regional itineraries. Together, the two ships are expected to bring more than 25 calls and over 40,000 visitors to Doha during the upcoming season.

The Ministry of Interior's Economic and Cyber Crimes Combating Department successfully dismantled a criminal network consisting of 12 individuals of Asian descent who had been targeting communication towers across various areas of Qatar in attempts to send fraudulent SMS messages containing fake links impersonating banks and official government entities. These fraudulent messages aimed to steal personal and financial information of citizens and residents, including credit card data and other sensitive information, by prompting them to click the malicious links and submit their credentials. The Ministry urges the public to exercise caution and not to click on any suspicious links they receive through SMS or messaging applications. It is important to avoid entering or disclosing personal or financial information through such means. The Ministry reiterates its commitment to pursuing those who seek to compromise information security or personal data and will take all necessary legal measures against those proven to be involved in such criminal activities.

Visit Qatar and The Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) have announced that general registration for the 100km open category of the Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final, taking place from December 12th-13th is now open.   The multisport festival weekend will offer a series of swim, bike, and running events including the chance for amateur athletes to participate in the new 100km triathlon distance (2km swim, 80km bike, 18km run) alongside the best professional triathletes in the world. Earlier this year, Visit Qatar announced a five-year partnership with the PTO to establish Doha as the culminating venue of the T100 Triathlon World Tour. The Qatar T100 will see professional and amateur athletes competing along a scenic course that begins with a swim in the Arabian Gulf, followed by cycling and running routes that span Doha and Lusail. The State of Qatar announces the arrival of 19 families from Russia and Ukraine, including 32 children, in Doha. These families will participate in the respective programs for Russia and Ukraine, which offer healthcare and comprehensive support services. This initiative is part of Qatar's continued mediation efforts to help reunite families separated by the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar has confirmed that 19 Russian and Ukrainian families, including 32 children, will be hosted in Doha from 14 - 24 April 2025. This follows Qatar's successful hosting of 20 Russian and Ukrainian families last year, where they received medical, psychological, and social support. The Ministry also highlighted that such an initiative is a crucial step in supporting families through their recovery process. It is specifically designed to address immediate needs while also laying the foundation for their long-term recovery and integration. The Ministry highlights that the program is implemented in partnership with His Excellency Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, on the Ukrainian side. The program is focused on strengthening the well-being and stability of the families. By addressing the psychological and social health of each family member, it helps them rebuild their lives with confidence and a sense of security. On the side of the Russian Federation, the partner is Maria Lvova-Belova, the Children's Rights Commissioner for the President of the Russian Federation. The program is aimed at supporting families, improving their overall condition, and creating the conditions for a stable and harmonious life.The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirms that the State of Qatar, in its role as a mediator, remains dedicated to protecting the well-being of all civilians affected by the conflict. The Ministry of Municipality, under the leadership of HE Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiyah, has issued Ministerial Decision No. (48) of 2025, amending provisions of Decision No. (247) of 2020 regarding park service fees. Qatar Prepares 690 Mosques and Prayer Grounds for Eid Al Fitr 2025 Prayers Doha, Qatar – April 2025 The Mosques Management Department at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has completed preparations for Eid Al Fitr 2025, ensuring a smooth and inclusive experience for worshippers across the country.
