Doha, Qatar — Sidra Medicine will host the 6th Health Literacy Conference on 3–4 October 2026, under the theme “From Strategy to Execution: Advancing Health Literacy,” in recognition of international Health Literacy Month.

The conference will be held in a hybrid format, with the first day taking place in person at Le Royal Méridien, Place Vendôme, while the second day will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams.

This year’s edition will focus on translating health literacy strategies into practical action, while showcasing research, experiences, and initiatives that contribute to better health outcomes, improved patient safety, and greater patient participation in healthcare decisions.

The conference also supports the objectives of Qatar’s National Health Strategy 2024–2030, particularly in promoting informed healthcare engagement, strengthening patient-centred care, and advancing public understanding of health information.

The event is intended for a wide range of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, and allied health professionals, as well as individuals interested in health literacy, health education, and patient communication.

By bringing together healthcare experts, educators, and professionals, the 6th Health Literacy Conference aims to strengthen the role of health literacy in improving healthcare delivery and empowering patients to make informed decisions about their health.
