Doha, Qatar — September 10, 2025
In its regular meeting held at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani chaired a session that strongly condemned the “criminal and cowardly” Israeli attack that targeted residential headquarters of several members of the Hamas Political Bureau in Doha on Tuesday.
The meeting was followed by a statement from Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs HE Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi, detailing Qatar’s firm position on the incident and its next steps to protect national security, sovereignty, and regional stability.
Strong Condemnation of the Attack
The Cabinet described the Israeli strike as an act of “state terrorism”, stressing that it constitutes:
A flagrant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty
A serious threat to the security and safety of its citizens and residents
A breach of international law and the UN Charter
The statement reaffirmed Qatar’s ongoing efforts to establish peace and stability in the region, adding that the timing of the attack reflects “aggressive tendencies” by the Israeli government and its disregard for international norms.
Qatar to Take Legal and Diplomatic Measures
The Cabinet announced a series of decisive actions:
Legal Response → Formation of a special legal team led by HE Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Khulaifi, Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to pursue all international legal avenues against Israel.
Security Review → A task force led by HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), will review and strengthen security protocols.
International Engagement → Calls for a firm global response to deter such “reckless and irresponsible practices” and to uphold regional security and global peace.
Honoring the Martyrs
The Cabinet expressed its deepest condolences on the martyrdom of Corporal Badr Saad Mohammed Al-Humaidi Al-Dosari, who died while carrying out his duties at the targeted site. Condolences were also extended to the families of other victims who lost their lives in the strike, as well as those injured among security personnel and civilians.
Global Support and Solidarity
The Cabinet expressed deep gratitude to the brotherly and friendly countries, along with regional and international organizations, that promptly condemned the attack and reaffirmed their support for Qatar’s sovereignty.
This international consensus reflects a shared commitment to peace, justice, and the rights of peoples in the region.
Next Steps: Securing Qatar’s Sovereignty
The Cabinet stressed that Qatar will not tolerate any breach of its sovereignty and is committed to:
Taking all necessary measures to protect national security
Strengthening regional partnerships to counter future threats
Continuing its efforts to promote peace, justice, and the protection of civilians across the region
