Public Schools in Qatar to Provide Free School Supplies for Students

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has announced that all public schools in Qatar will now provide essential school supplies for free, easing the burden on families and ensuring equality among students.
In a new circular, the Ministry directed public schools to cover the cost of educational resources within approved budgets and allocations. This step reaffirms Qatar’s commitment to providing a supportive, accessible, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Key Points from the Ministry’s Circular
Schools will provide all necessary educational resources within available budgets.
Parents are not required to pay for activities, equipment, or events.
Families are not obliged to buy uniforms from external stores.
Parents will also not be required to provide supplies for local or international events.
The initiative is designed to reduce financial strain on parents while ensuring all students have equal access to the same resources, promoting fairness and inclusivity in Qatar’s education system.
