H.E. Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry, inaugurated the 22nd edition of Project Qatar 2026, Qatar’s largest exhibition specialising in construction materials, equipment, and technologies.

The opening ceremony was held in the presence of H.E. Eng. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Meer, President of the Public Works Authority (Ashghal), along with senior officials, ambassadors, and representatives of diplomatic missions.

Held under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, the exhibition is taking place from 9 to 11 June 2026 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC).

Organised under the theme “Manufacture, Build, Innovate”, Project Qatar 2026 reflects the ongoing transformation of Qatar’s construction, manufacturing, and infrastructure sectors. The exhibition aims to strengthen integration between industry, technology, and smart building solutions, in support of sustainable development and Qatar National Vision 2030.

This year’s edition brings together 145 exhibitors, including 120 local companies and 25 international firms, representing construction, building materials, industrial technologies, energy, engineering services, smart city solutions, and sustainable infrastructure.

Project Qatar 2026 is supported by a distinguished lineup of partners and sponsors, including the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Ashghal, Kahramaa, Qatar Chamber, Qatar Development Bank, Al Sraiya Holding Group, Qatar Primary Materials Company, Suhail Industrial Holding Group, DHL, BNI Qatar, and Saur Qatar.

Hayat Bayan, Commercial & Operations Director at IFP Qatar, said the launch of this year’s edition amid ongoing regional developments reflects the resilience of the Qatari economy and its ability to navigate challenges. She added that the participation of 25 international companies demonstrates global confidence in the growth potential of Qatar’s construction market and its expanding role as a regional investment hub.

Bayan noted that the exhibition has evolved into a comprehensive professional platform that brings together the public and private sectors, enabling contractors, suppliers, developers, and investors to explore new collaboration opportunities and discover the latest smart building solutions, machinery, products, and advanced technologies.

The exhibition features a dedicated B2B Matchmaking Platform, targeted business meetings, the Excellence in Industry & Innovation Awards in collaboration with the Gulf Organisation for Research and Development (GORD), and a Startup Stage supporting entrepreneurs and SMEs.

According to the latest data published by MEED, the value of planned and ongoing projects in Qatar rose to USD 251.6 billion in 2025, an increase of USD 14.3 billion compared to 2024. Qatar also ranks first globally in construction output per capita, with the highest per capita construction production at USD 18,433.

Eng. Khalid Al Najjar, Technical Office Director at Ashghal, said Ashghal’s participation as Strategic Partner reflects its leading role in advancing infrastructure projects and showcasing innovative solutions and digital applications used in managing critical projects.

Abdulaziz Ibrahim Al-Tamimi, CEO of Qatar Primary Materials Company, said QPMC’s participation as Diamond Sponsor highlights its role in securing raw materials and logistics services for projects while developing sustainable environmental solutions based on circular economy principles.

Ali Bu Sherbak Al Mansouri, Acting General Manager of Qatar Chamber, said the Chamber’s participation as Business Community Partner reflects its commitment to empowering the Qatari private sector and strengthening partnerships between local and international companies.

Representatives from Saur Qatar, Suhail Industrial Holding Group, Nemetschek Arabia, DHL Qatar, and BNI Qatar also highlighted their contributions to sustainable infrastructure, national industry, digital construction solutions, logistics, and business networking.
