Temporary Road Closures Announced Ahead of World Summit for Social Development in Doha

Doha, Qatar – November 3, 2025:

In preparation for the World Summit for Social Development, which the State of Qatar will host from November 4 to 6, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has announced a series of temporary road closures to ensure the safe and smooth movement of official delegations.

The closures will be in effect on Tuesday, November 4, from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM, covering several key routes in Doha.

According to the MoI, the affected roads include:

• Exit from Hamad International Airport Road via Ras Bu Abboud Road up to Al Sharq Interchange.

• Exit from Airport Park Street on C-Ring Road up to Al Sharq Interchange.

• Corniche Road from Al Sharq Intersection up to National Theatre Interchange.

• Mohammed bin Thani Street from National Theatre Intersection up to Wadi Al Sail Interchange.

• Al Bidaa Street from Wadi Al Sail Intersection up to Al Maha Interchange.

• Khalifa Street from Al Maha Intersection up to Gharrafat Al Rayyan Interchange.

• Golf Stadium Street from Leqtaifiya Intersection up to Golf Club Interchange.

• University Street from Golf Club Intersection up to Television Interchange.

The Second World Summit for Social Development, hosted in Doha from November 4–6, will bring together heads of state, government officials, and representatives of international and regional organizations to discuss global strategies for inclusive social growth and sustainable human development.

The Ministry urged the public to plan alternative routes and avoid affected areas during the closure hours to minimize congestion and ensure safety.

إغلاق مؤقت لعدد من الطرق في الدوحة استعدادًا للقمة العالمية للتنمية الاجتماعية

الدوحة، قطر – 3 نوفمبر 2025:

أعلنت وزارة الداخلية عن تنفيذ إغلاقات مؤقتة للطرق غدًا، الثلاثاء الموافق 4 نوفمبر 2025، وذلك في إطار استعدادات الدولة لاستضافة القمة العالمية الثانية للتنمية الاجتماعية التي تُعقد في الدوحة خلال الفترة من 4 إلى 6 نوفمبر.

وسيتم إغلاق الطرق من الساعة 6 صباحًا حتى 5 مساءً، لضمان انسيابية الحركة المرورية أثناء تنقل الوفود الرسمية المشاركة في القمة.

وأوضحت الوزارة أن الطرق التي ستتأثر بالإغلاق تشمل:

• المخرج من طريق مطار حمد الدولي عبر طريق راس بو عبود حتى تقاطع الشرق.

• المخرج من شارع حديقة المطار على الطريق الدائري الثاني حتى تقاطع الشرق.

• طريق الكورنيش من تقاطع الشرق حتى تقاطع المسرح الوطني.

• شارع محمد بن ثاني من تقاطع المسرح الوطني حتى تقاطع وادي السيل.

• شارع البدع من تقاطع وادي السيل حتى تقاطع المها.

• شارع خليفة من تقاطع المها حتى تقاطع الغرافة الريان.

• شارع ملعب الجولف من تقاطع اللقطيفية حتى تقاطع نادي الجولف.

• شارع الجامعة من تقاطع نادي الجولف حتى تقاطع التلفزيون.

تستضيف الدوحة القمة العالمية الثانية للتنمية الاجتماعية بمشاركة رؤساء دول وحكومات وممثلين عن المنظمات الدولية والإقليمية لمناقشة استراتيجيات التنمية الاجتماعية المستدامة.

ودعت وزارة الداخلية الجمهور إلى تجنب الطرق المغلقة واستخدام مسارات بديلة خلال فترة الإغلاق حفاظًا على السلامة العامة وانسيابية المرور.
