The most anticipated video game sequel of the decade. With its stunning visuals and dramatic narrative, the new trailer gives fans their first in-depth look at protagonists Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, and the vibrant yet dangerous world of Vice City.
Set in the fictional state of Leonida, inspired by Florida, GTA VI follows the journey of Jason, a former soldier turned criminal, and Lucia, a fiercely loyal partner recently released from prison. The trailer opens with Jason doing odd jobs before reuniting with Lucia — setting the stage for a high-stakes, conspiracy-driven story.

The trailer teases intense heists, romantic drama, and coastal chaos, as the pair dive deeper into a criminal underworld while seeking a fresh start. Rockstar describes the plot as a “new life gone wrong,” filled with betrayal, action, and emotional depth.
New characters are also introduced, including rap duo Real Dimez, smuggler Brian Heder, and bank robber Raul Bautista. Locations featured in the trailer range from the neon-lit Vice City boardwalk to rural backroads, swamps, and mountainous regions, promising a rich and varied open-world experience.

Although the trailer avoids direct gameplay footage, it showcases next-gen cinematic sequences captured entirely on PlayStation 5, reflecting the game’s powerful visual engine and immersive storytelling. Rockstar has confirmed that the full game will launch in May 2026 for both PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
The delay to 2026 came as a surprise to fans, but Rockstar emphasizes its dedication to quality and avoiding industry “crunch.” With this new glimpse, anticipation has only grown, reinforcing GTA VI’s position as a cultural phenomenon in the making.
Stay tuned as Rockstar continues to unveil more details in the months leading up to release.
