The Qatar Bahrain ferry, launched on 6 November 2025, is now available for non-GCC nationalities as per the service booking app, MASAR. The service was initially available only for passengers from the GCC countries.
The passenger-only ferry direct route, spanning nearly 35 nautical miles (approximately 65 km), connects Al-Ruwais Port in northern Qatar with Sa’ada Marina in Bahrain.
The newly introduced ferry service will connect Al-Ruwais Port to Sa’ada Marina, with a travel time of 70-80 minutes. Passengers can book their trips through the MASAR app.
The initial trips are scheduled from 7 to 12 November 2025, featuring two round-trips each day—one in the morning and one in the evening. This will increase to three round-trips daily from 13 to 22 November 2025, with the possibility of adding more trips based on demand and passenger numbers.
Passengers can choose between standard and VIP vessels, which accommodate up to 28 and 32 passengers, respectively, providing modern and comfortable hospitality services onboard. All voyages will adhere to the security and customs regulations of both countries to ensure the safety of passengers.
This project marks a significant advancement in the GCC’s maritime transportation, reflecting both nations’ dedication to enhancing regional integration and facilitating the movement of people, thereby aligning with the GCC’s vision for a unified, secure, and sustainable transportation network.
