Museum of Islamic Art
Being the first of its kind to feature over 14 centuries of Islamic Art in the Arab States of the Persian Gulf, this flagship of Qatar Museums envisions to be recognized as the center of knowledge, dialogue and inspiration that illuminates the art of Islamic civilizations, opening minds and shaping the future, the Museum of Islamic Arts under the leadership of Chairperson H.E. Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bint Khalifa Al Thani.
With modern designs featuring geometrical patterns and influences of ancient Islamic architecture, this museum also features metal work, ceramics, jewelry, wood work, textiles, and glass obtain from three continents dating from 7th to the 19th century.
Located on a man-made island 60 meter from the shore. MIA park is the best place to see a panoramic view of westbay skyline while your unwind in the high-backed wicker chairs enjoy a freshly made sandwiches in the breezes of the MIA outdoor cafe.
